Inspired by local resident Michael Alves, four Town Councillors turned out with him on Saturday morning to clear garbage and vegetation from the path between the Town Meadow and the Fire Station in Haslemere.
They had in mind that leaves would soon be falling and a lot of the rubbish embedded in the vegetation would soon be visible, so now was the time to act. It does look better now and four sacks of rubbish were removed.
Not dramatic stuff but an example of what practical things Councillors will do so, if you’ve got a similar project you’d like to see done in the town, please get in touch here.
Like Michael did.
