After the departure of the Fair and following the article here, Town Council contractors have been at work.
As outlined in the linked Haslemere Today article, between 16th -19th April they chain-harrowed the Green and re-seeded areas that needed it. These could not be better germination and growing conditions.
This obviously comes at a cost but it has been borne in its entirety by the Fair’s deposit held by the Town Council. None of your taxes have been spent.
Councillors hope this information and the photos above taken on 20th April will allay the fears of some residents as to the future of this popular public facility.
