There’s a section of Derby Road outside the Church, near the school, that is used by everyone but isn’t adopted highway.
That means that Surrey County Council won’t get involved and there’ve been some pretty big potholes develop.
But today Weds 30th, Church officers Richard Reinke and Robert Fox together with Town Councillor Simon Dear got to work.
They laid 550 kilos of tarmac in total and compacted this with a wacker plate and dressed the repairs with sand.
The hope is the repairs get a chance to go off properly during half term and that this section of Derby Road won’t be such a wild ride from now on for those that use it.
